The Inter-House Football Tournament at Olympus High School commenced with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The Managing Director, Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla, inaugurated the tournament and encouraged the young players to participate with confidence, discipline and true sportsmanship. His inspiring presence set the tone for an exciting and competitive sporting event.
The tournament witnessed an exciting display of skill, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship as Rig House and Atharva House battled it out on the field.
Rig House, led by captain Shourya Negi, emerged victorious with a commanding 4–1 win. Shourya delivered an exceptional performance, scoring three goals, while Aditya Singh added another to Rig’s tally. Atharva’s lone goal came through an unfortunate own goal. Rig’s strong teamwork, attacking play and excellent coordination kept the match firmly under their control.
Shourya Negi was the standout performer of the tournament, finishing with an impressive nine goals and earning recognition as one of the tournament’s best players. The Rig squad, comprising Shourya P.S. Negi, Aditya Chauhan, Aditya Singh, Piyush, Sarthak, Archit, Jaitik and Armaan, displayed remarkable coordination, determination and team spirit throughout the tournament.
Atharva House, captained by Paras Kohli, also put up a commendable performance. With Keshav Sharma guarding the goal and players Naitik Vig, Aditya Rana, Swarit Singh, Ansh Choudhary, Ranvir Chauhan and Kushagra Lekhak, the team showcased consistency, resilience and a strong fighting spirit. Atharva won all its league matches and secured the second position in the Inter-House Football Tournament.
The Principal, Dr. Anuradha Pundeer Malla, also encouraged the students throughout the tournament and appreciated their dedication, teamwork and sporting spirit. Her constant motivation inspired the young athletes to give their best while upholding the values of discipline, teamwork and fair play.
