On July 30, 2025, the students of Olympus High embarked on an enriching visit to the Wildlife Institute of India Chandrabani, Dehradun. The day began with an engaging insect photography session, where experts provided detailed insights into various insects, accompanied by stunning photographs.
This was followed by an informative presentation by The Times of India, focusing on conservation efforts, particularly tiger conservation. The presentation covered topics such as extinct tiger species, white tigers, endangered species, habitats, and population numbers. The students also learned about innovative tracking methods, including camera traps and tracking collars.
The interactive session that ensued allowed students to engage with the presenters and discuss fascinating facts about tigers in India. Graphic Era University had organized a unique activity, where five selected students from each school participated in a “tiger culprit” guessing game, which proved to be both entertaining and thought-provoking.
The visit concluded with a quiz session on wildlife, where Olympus High students showcased their knowledge and enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where Olympus High proudly secured the 1st and 4th prizes in the quiz.
Overall, the students had a fantastic time at the National Wildlife Institute, gaining valuable insights and experiences that will undoubtedly enhance their understanding of wildlife conservation.
