“Olympus High had recently conducted an insightful workshop on Model United Nations (MUN)”

Olympus High had recently conducted an insightful workshop on Model United Nations (MUN) to educate students about global diplomacy, international relations, and public speaking. The event took place in the school auditorium and was attended by students from grades VI to XII along with faculty members.
The primary aim of the workshop was to introduce students to the concept of MUN, its procedures, and how it simulates the workings of the United Nations. The session also aimed to develop critical thinking, research skills, and effective communication among students.
The workshop was conducted by an experienced MUN trainer Guntaas who provided an in-depth understanding of MUN conferences. The session included:
1.An introduction to the structure and purpose of the United Nations.
2.Explanation of MUN committees, roles, and rules of procedure.
3.Training on how to draft position papers and resolutions.
4.Guidance on public speaking, debate techniques, and diplomatic negotiation.
Students actively participated in discussions, asked insightful questions. The interactive session allowed them to grasp the nuances of international diplomacy and problem-solving in a global context.
The MUN workshop was a resounding success, leaving students motivated and eager to participate in future MUN conferences. One such MUN conference will now be held at Asian school on 12th and 13th April for which many students enrolled themselves enthusiastically.
