Olympus High celebrated its 26th Annual Day with immense zeal and vibrant fervour within the school premises. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Puneet Tyagi (M.B.B.S., M.D., Pulmonary), Director of Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences.
The programme commenced with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, followed by a rendition of the school song ‘We are Proud to be Olympians’ performed by the school choir. The Chief Guest, along with other esteemed dignitaries, lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the auspicious beginning of the event.
This was followed by the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, where over 150+ achievers of the academic year 2024–25 were awarded for their outstanding performances. The teachers of Olympus High were also felicitated for their achievements and contributions. A special recognition in the form of a token of gratitude was extended to the 10 firefighters of Uttarakhand, acknowledging their bravery and dedication to public service.
The event also saw the release of the school magazine. The Chief Guest was presented with a memento by the Managing Director, Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla, Director, Dr. Anuradha Pundir Malla, and Principal, Dr. Jyoti Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Puneet Tyagi said, “Olympus High is doing a remarkable job in nurturing confident, responsible, and well-rounded individuals. Events like these provide students a platform to showcase their creativity and talent, while also instilling in them a strong sense of discipline and teamwork. It is truly heartening to see such dedication and enthusiasm from both the students and the faculty.”
This was followed by a comprehensive annual report detailing the achievements of the school, presented by the Principal, Dr. Jyoti Gupta.
The highlight of the evening was the light and sound musical play ‘Beauty and the Beast’, directed by Managing Director Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla. The venue reverberated with thunderous applause and gleaming faces as the audience witnessed the perfection and extravaganza of the show. It was a display of talent and fervour, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Managing Director, Dr. Kunal Shamshere Malla, expressing his gratitude to the guests and parents for gracing the occasion. He also urged the parents to continue supporting their children at every milestone of their growing-up years.
