DBS Global University hosted an interactive AI session

Dr. Raghav Upadhyay from DBS Global University hosted an interactive AI session at Olympus High for students of classes 9-12. The event was honored by Principal Dr. Jyoti Gupta’s presence.

The session featured a Q&A segment with candies and stickers for correct responses, followed by a foundational segment explaining AI. A Picture-Analysis Activity compared AI outputs with real images, and the program showcased identification models and medical image-detection use cases.

The session addressed AI’s limits, including understanding emotions and expressions, and revisited Alan Turing’s words on machine thinking. Historical context was provided, recognizing John McCarthy’s coining of “Artificial Intelligence” in 1956.

The seminar concluded with a quiz session and a speech by Principal Dr. Jyoti Gupta, emphasizing that AI is a powerful tool when guided by human values, preserving judgment and empathy. The event left learners motivated to explore further.
