“Sports do not build character. They reveal it.”
A live demonstration of the new sport ‘Pickleball’ was recently showcased by an esteemed guest Mr. Ajay Mark to the students of grades VI – XII within the school premises of Olympus High.
The primary aim of this demonstration was to introduce a new sport ‘Pickleball’ to the students. It is a fun and fast-paced racquet game that combines elements of Badminton, Tennis and Table-Tennis. The esteemed guest informed the students that this sport was introduced in the year 1965 in Washington D.C., United States of America and was named the official state sport in the year 2021.
The students were informed about the dimensions of the court, number of players in a team, equipments used and the rules of the game. They were also made to play the sport. It was a successful event that provided students with a deeper understanding of the importance of sports in our lives.
